🌅 Morning Session: Foundation & Form (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Gear Anatomy: Understand rods, reels, fly lines, leaders, and tippets without the confusion.
The Essentials: Learn the primary knots every angler must know to secure their line and fly.
Fly Selection: Learn exactly what the fish are eating in the Brainerd Lakes area and how to match the hatch.
Casting Clinic: Learn the overhead cast and roll cast on dry land with real-time feedback from a local guide.
🥪 Midday: Catered Lunch & Community (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
Enjoy a premium, catered lunch included in your registration.
Rest, ask individual questions, and connect with fellow aspiring anglers.
🌊 Afternoon Session: On-the-Water Application (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
Reading Water: Learn where fish hide in rivers and streams, how to approach them, and how to present your fly naturally.
Live Casting: Put your morning practice to work targeting local species on the water.
Hooking & Landing: Practice the distinct line control needed to hook, fight, and safely release fish.

📝 Registration Requirements
Skill Level: Complete beginner to advanced beginner. No prior experience needed.
Age: 16+ (Minors must be accompanied by a registered adult).
Licensing: Participants must purchase a valid Minnesota Fishing License prior to the event.
Personal Gear: Bring polarized sunglasses, a brimmed hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, and weather-appropriate layers.
